My iphone is unlocked in 1.0.2 with anysim 1.1 and I would like to upgrade to 1.1.3. Can I follow the instructions below? I have seen a few different sets of instructions and do not know which to follow. Is this the best way to do it?

1) Download ZIPHONE 2.0

2) Extract to C:\ZIPHONE
3) Restore via DFU to 1.1.3
4) Click Start | Run and type in CMD
5) CD to path C:\ZIPHONE
6) Enter the string "ZiPhone -v -j -a -u" (Do not include the quotation marks) and press the "Enter" key on your keyboard.
Note 1: -v is to avoid freezing apple logo screen, -j is for jailbreaking, -a is for activation, and -u is for unlocking.
Note 2: After completion its probably a good idea to install BSD Subsystem first then OpenSSH from Installer.app
7) Walla! Your iPhone is at 1.1.3 Activated, Jailbroken, and Unlocked! If you're on T-Mobile and wish to install the T-Zones 5.99 Proxy Hack proceed to the next step, otherwise you're done.
8) [a] In Installer go to All Packages and install Bigboss's Beta/Experimental Source. [b] Go to Tweaks (1.1.3)
and install T-Mobile 1.1.3 TZones Hack. Restart phone and your done!

I just upgraded from my hacked 1.0.2 a hour ago
All you have to do is download ziphone 2.2
Plug your phone in, start iTunes, and upgrade to 1.1.3
The phone will restart in emergency mode
Go to your task manager and stop the iTunesHelp service
Start 2.2
Run the Application
You Are Finished

if someone could give me a quicktime answer..

my phone is from week 39 and I'm in 1.1.2 so im guessing i am running 3.8 bootloader..

anyone give me a strategy to get to 1.1.3 from where I am.. i just got this thing and im on information overload..

You mean the 3.9 bootloader... and you didnt specify your provider or what you want to acomplish(jailbreak, unlock??) Well Ill just give you a quick rundown...
1. You just need to download the latest ziphone 2.2
2. Enter DFU mode
3. Restore 1.1.3
4. Run Ziphone
5. check off the options you want...
if your with AT&T you just need to jailbreak... so just check off the JAILBREAK box and hit the run ziphone button..
if your with a different carrier, such as Tmobile or whatnot, you are going to check off the boxes for ACTIVATE, JAILBREAK, UNLOCK
the process will take roughly 3 mins and you will see a bunch of text run across the screen in a dos like manner... the phone will reboot again and your done!

Do I upgrade to 1.1.3 or DFU restore to 1.1.3? Does it matter which version of itunes I have? and do I have to quit itunes and cancel the itunes helper or just cancel the ituneshelper? Thanks!
