I just bought a V710 and my Local CDMA provider says they won't activate because they say they paid a insurance claim for this phone and said it was their's. I offered to pay them but they said to bring the phone in the esn was blocked. Is there any way to save this phone ? Other than taking it and giving it to them. They said they would use it for parts.

So wait, you JUST bought a v710 ... through which provider?
And they won't activate it, because ... they had just paid an insurance claim?
If the ESN number is locked under terms of theft or loss, it cannot be undone–unless the mole-people that work underneath Verizon's HQ type things on the keyboard ... and this is very unlikely; and that's speaking if you have Verizon.
I'm confused @_@

It's appalachian wireless here in Ky. Is it only locked from Ap wireless or can it be activated on Verizon, Altell... etc

Well, I don't believe CDMA providers like Verizon lock their phones. I remember hearing something like that about Sprint a long time ago.
And no, it cannot be activated on Verizon's network because they have a list of all the ESN numbers that are made for them. They used to do this, and they recently stated that they shall open their network to 'foreign' CDMA phones; but I don't think they do that yet.
I have no idea what to tell you about your AP. wireless problem. Were they going to give you a new phone if you returned the V710?

No they wasn't, But the phone is used and I bought it from a roadside sale. I guess I'll have to take this on the chin.
