Firmware v1.1.4 will break the new jailbreak

ZiPhone has been out for about a week now, that more than enough time for Apple to seal up the hole.

Now, if you want to use official 3rd party apps, you have to upgrade.

1.1.4 will break it just like 1.0.1 1.0.2 1.1.1 1.1.2 1.1.3 and 1.1.4 and i bet 1.1.5 and 3.3 and 10.5 will.

no matter what we do apple will just fix it.

Well, I guess we should've waited for firmware 4.3.9 before we release a jailbreak for it...

If you've paid any attention at all, you'd realize that every single firmware killed the jailbreak for the previous one. It's probably not even the intention for apple to 'seal up a hole' as you would put it. It's just a new version of the firmware.

The only security hole that apple directly addressed was the bootloader security issues, which has absolutely nothing to do with these firmware updates.

If you're going to hate on something, make sure you at least sound like you know what you're talking about.

Actually up until 1.1.1. (1.0.0, 1.0.1, 1.0.2) apple did nothing to stop the jailbreaks. Well said though.

i had a 1.0.2 phone up until last nite - i never wanted to deal with the hassle of revirginizing and going through a PAINFUL process just to update my firmware

along comes ziphone - i hook up my iphone to itunes and click on "restore" - then i open up ziphone to jailbreak/activate - then i download anysim 1.3 - 15 minutes after i began the process, im using a completely jailbroken and unlocked 1.1.3 iphone - BRILLIANT!
