I bought one of these. It is very sturdy when attached to the windshield. It isn't the highest quality stuff, but it holds the Tilt perfectly and I don't worry about it falling out at all when driving. For $8, it can't be beat.

A bit pricey, but this unit looks good:

Charges, and provides amplified speaker/external mic.

I have a simlar unit for my Axim, and it's been great.

i did look into those a while ago for my zune but to tell you the truth im not a big fan of the long extension if you know what i mean by that. I drive a lowered car so the ride is kinda bummpy and my old gps unit used to have that long extension and it was almost impossible to read the display cause the whole thing was moving up and down like there was a rubber band attached to it lol

that looks pretty nice but it is kinda pricey, i already have a charger so i wouldn't need one but the amped speaker would be a great thing to have.

while im on the topic of sound does anyone know if i hook up an adapter that allowes me to plug in standard 3.5mm headphone jack (i already ordered it) would the sound from Tom Tom still come out through the phone's speaker or would it be routed into a headset/headphones etc

The sound gets routed to whatever sound profile you choose.. so plugging in headphones, the TT voices go through the headphones. What doesn't work (or I haven't figured it out) is playing music and having TomTom interrupt when it needs to.
