Unlocking iPhone with 04.03.13?

Hey
I just purchased an iPhone. Its 4gb with 04.03.13 bootloader.
I've been reading and watching tutorials lately. And every says if you have 04.03.13 bootloader you must do something different?
What do I have to do differently? Can I even unlock it?
If so, does the activating / unlocking tools take up much space on the phone?

You can definitely unlock it. Make sure you are in 1.1.3. Then just use ziphone 2.3 to unlock, jailbreak and activate it. Very easy

dfu restore to 1.1.3 (lookup posts regarding dfu restore). use ziphone gui to unlock jailbreak and activate. all done in around 10 minutes.

'04.03.13' is a baseband, not a bootloader.

Bootloaders generally come in two flavours: 3.9 and 4.6.

I just read the definitions.
I understand it a lot more now.

So when I unlock, activate, and jailbreak the phone using ziphone I want to check the box "downgrade BL and flash/unlock 4.03"?

Yep...If your phone came with the bootlader 4.6, you'll want to downgrade it to 3.9 before you can unlock baseband 4.03.

So can I do that all within the ziphone gui?
if so,
do i activate unlock jailbreak and downgrade at the same..
or downgrade first then update to 1.1.3 through itunes then activate unlock and jailbreak.
