Dangers servers After all these years...and they are still unreliable. I'd still be using a Sidekick if it weren't for the shoddy back-end shop they have...

You can use this tool to see if your area is experiencing an outage - http://www.signalstrength.org/index.html

Luck

its not just happening at home.. i live in vegas. theres no way theres shortages all around town.. it HAS to be the phone and the service... but tmobile is so cheap that its hard to leave them

It's happening to me too. So no worries man it's not your phone.

I know this is stupid, but what about restarting the phone daily? Someone once explained it to me this way: everyone shares towers, obviously, so when you leave your phone on 24/7, other "people" are just climbing over you to the top of the tower. So when you restart your phone, you're essentially jumping back to the top of the tower.
Seems to help me.
Good luck.

Danger's servers have nothing to do with reception. If there's an issue with Danger's serves, you'll be able to tell by the G7 being on one, two, or three dots. Reception is either phone or tower based.

You need a new sim card. simple as that. go to your nearest tmobile store and ask for one, they fix it for you

my sk3 always did that. it would say no wireless service. code net 9 or something.
the thing pissed me off so i went back to my sidekick 2. untill i can find another phone. im looking into the sidekick lx or blackberry 8320 curve

I would try a new sim card, mine is dead slow now with this new chip.
It takes 4 minuts to download any web page.
And before with my old sim it was faster.

I've had the sidekick 2 for ages, it almost seemed like decades. It got to the point, where I also experienced the same problems. I have to agree with the person I'm replying to, get a new sim card. They were able to do "something" with my sim card so it can authenticate back to the networks. Anyway, I eventually got an iphone, not because of this reason, but because the charger port started to go. I do have to say i was really happy with tmobile and danger.
