so i did the geohot ipsf clone unlock....went through a whole mess of screwing around with other things trying to see which programs were tiger compatible for jailbreaking and what not so i didnt screw my friends phone. long story short.. i screwed up mine. finally got everything working. reverted to previous seczone and everything from my back up.(did this at 2 different times) updated from 1.0.2 (needed to keep my wifi connection alive while reverting) to 1.1.3 jailbroke with the latest independence release. installed anysim....messed something up again with my tinkering...did a restore it was locked. went thru the independence/anysim process again...mucked it up again tinkering...full restore... no service. telling me i had to put the correct sim in. jailbroke it (independence) got installer going and as soon as i was about to click on anysim. i happened to look up and notice that i was on the tmobile network. ive restored 4 times since then just to see if it would still happen. and well i havent needed to unlock it any of those times because it stays unlocked..any thoughts?

P.s. thank golly for the ziphone 2.4.... just ierased my phone ...started from scratch and still.unlocked without running anysim

The anysim unlock lies within the baseband, which is not touched during restores. You could restore 400 times and it would remain unlocked. Sounds like you had a fun night and learned a lot though

i hope that wasnt a smug response.. yes i know how anysim works. im not a schmoe... did i not mention that i restored the baseband to 3.14.08 ???

No actually, you didn't. The geohot IPSF clone lives through baseband upgrades/downgrades. That is a very large post with very little detail.
