Purchased a new black berry

I have tmobile and use to have a razr, I'm finding out now that the blackberry can't do certain things that my razr could do. I can't view certain websites, I get the error message bad gateway. Anyone have any ideas on why I can't view these certain sites ?

Go to Options > Advanced Options > TCP

APN: wap.voicestream.com
Leave the other fields blank.

Like DubDub said, you need a Blackberry Data Plan, however. And not some generic smart phone data plan or TZones. You need the BIS add-on plan for $20/month.

You're probably using the Rogers WAP browser. You need a data plan to use the actual Browser

I knew something was wrong with this post when the OP said his new BlackBerry "couldn't do something" that his RAZR could! hahahaha!

ok i got a question i got the bb plan i'm with rogers everything works good i can surf, bb messenger send emails, etc. when i use jivetalk for messengin it works fine but u have to pay inorder to continue using it so i downloaded mig33 its another instant messenger that supports msn, but when i try to connect on that one it doesnt connect same with Nimbuzz (another messenger program)

my question now is if i put wap.voicestream.com for the apn will that work for me? even thou i'm with rogers in canada? or is there another format for rogers only? if so do u know what it is?

There is definitely another format for Rogers... contact them or maybe someone knows on the forums.

I also thought there were ways around having a bb data plan... Like getting opera installed on there.

well i installed opera mini like with no probs and works fine just these instant messengers arent working for me hmmm if i fill in the APN TCP stuff will it charge me? or is it still goin thru my bb plan?

The $5 or $7 dollar WAP plans will not work, you must have a data plan, also, just call tech support at your provider, ITS FREE....
