I need some help in modifying and re-compiling a US English language pack onto my Maxx V6.

My handset is designed for the Asian market, with firmware R26117LD-AS_U_98.30.72AR. The bootloader is v3.02. (A new bootloader, v3.09, is available, but cannot be removed once it is installed, and there are only a few firmware available that run under v3.09.)

I have been unable to save changes to my custom language pack after recompiling it back into an SHX or SMG format for reflashing to my phone. In my research, it appears that any language pack loaded onto a phone with R26117LD-AS_U firmware must include Complex Chinese as it requires a 16-bit character map, as opposed to 8-bit character maps used in language packs without Complex Chinese.

The one LP I would really like to use is Maxx_V6_R26117LD_LP0003, which contains US English, American Spanish, Canadian French and Portuguese. While it DOES load onto my phone, I am unable to access my phonebook, camera and several other functions, all of which report either "Loading..." or "Please wait". I believe this is because of the 8-bit character map of the LP.

As a result, I have been working with several language packs, principally one developed by Psychomorpher (LP1001) for the Maxx V6. I have also attempted to edit the native LP on my phone (004D) as well as LP0063 and LP004E. The LP that most closely matches my needs is Psychomorpher's, although it contains a few variants from the UK English dialect (e.g. it has "datebook" instead of "calendar" and "dialling" instead of "dialing"). It does not interfere with access to any of the phones functions like LP0003 does.

I have carefully followed all instructions for using SHXCoDec, its internal Language Pack Editor and F&B3. Psychomorpher's LP1001 (in SHX format) loads onto my phone without issues. However, after I have edited it and recompiled it back into a new SHX file, it fails and reports errors. I have attempted flashing the modified SHX file using SHXCoDec, F&B3 and RSDLite 3.8 (no, I have not tried RSDLite 4.1 yet). I vaguely recall reading something about "enabling Dynamic Prompts" using P2K Commander, but I don't know if this would help resolve my issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
