Hi I bought an iphone recently. I signed up for the service online and ordered a new number and phone (to get the subsidy). So I have to basically wait till the phone arrives in a few days because I don't know my phone number to activate my iphone.

Since my iphone is sitting on my desk and i am just dieing to use it. I want to jailbreak it to bypass the activation and use it until I get my phone number and can officially activate my iphone on att.

I believe my 8gb iphone is a week 4 since my serial # starts 88804. So I am assuming it has the 1.1.3 firmware.

Can I use ziphone, jailbreak it, use it for a few days in this manner. and then activate the iphone and then restore it to its original settings so that it is no longer jailbroken (is this called virginize?).

I know I can use ziphone to jailbreak it. What program or how do i un-jailbreak it before I activate my iphone on AT&T? btw I have a PC.

I think you can use ziphone to activate it only and you'll have wifi and iPod features. When your phone arrives you'll do a full restore then activate properly.
