i dont understand how ziphone doesnt need a sim card

as i understand it, you dont even need to put a sim card in when you unlock using ziphone. if this is so, what happens to the sim card thats in my other phone. will it still work along with the unlocked iphone?

how does ziphone know all my information like my phone number if theres no sim card inside?

i dont believe ziphone cares what your info is. ziphones purpose is to greak through what is keeping the phone itself, locked. Your phone #, etc is on your SIM card and once the iPhone is unlocked, jailbroken and activated it will read that info off your SIM.

Bingo.

ZiPhone doesn't care, as this information isn't used to unlock the phone. The unlock itself is independent from any user-specific information.

Yes you will ALWAYS need your SIM card. That is what is essentially the "brain" of your mobile services. The iPhone is a GSM phone and ATT and T-Mobile are GSM carriers who utilize SIM cards.

Yes, it will. I uesd 2.4 and it was on there.
