Wi-fi drops when phone backlight stops

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I have got my wi-fi working perfectly except that when the phone backlight stops (phone screen goes dark), the phone makes a funny beep (not one of my programmed sounds).

When I press a button to use phone (and backlight comes on), the wi-fi is not connected anymore and then reconnects after a few seconds.

I'm using WPA2-PSK.

Any ideas?

Go to the Comm. Manager, then WLAN settings. You should have a list of options including Power Mode; go to Power Mode.

At the bottom should be a checkbox that reads "Auto turn off WLAN if no WLAN or user activities after LCD OFF over: <dropdown list of options>". Uncheck this and you should be good to go or change the default setting to 20 minutes if you're concerned with battery power or something.

Hopefully this helps.
