Annoying Sound Problem

I added a custom ringtone and everything was working fine but know i get no sound for new mail, SMS, and when i put the phone on sleep or slide to unlock it. I just need to know why this is happening, everything is turned on and sound is all the way up i just dont hear it.

another thing i realized is when i turn on the silent switch, it used to vibrate now it doesnt please can i have any help

Settings/General/Reset all settings

No worky, restore 1.1.3 firmware

i'll let you know if works, i did some searching and it said it mgiht be bcause the iPhone think the headphone jack is still plugged in
