My friend just got a new w580i. She just recently got a huge bill from having her internet being acidently turned on in her purse from the little ATT internet shortcut being hit. Is there anyway to disable the internet from conecting on the phone or at least change that short cut (the one thats the ATT blue globe) button to something that won't matter? I've looked through the menu but can only change the navigation shortcuts. Thanks.

Call up AT&T and ask them to disable any internet access on their end. A friend of mine would keep accidentally pressing the internet button, and he called them to have them disable it. Hope this helps.

hi, i've done the same thing with my w910i on fido. called fido and asked to block access to internet.

I don't block the internet on the w580; I just choose a different internet profile. Go to Internet settings, create a new profile, and select it. Anytime you accidentally press the internet button, an error pops up and it goes back to the standby screen.
