u need panaclient w/ cable to unlock, for chinese menu, u need to flash the chinese language pack...

i got the usb data cable & using it in panareader 5
it keeps aying ... connection timeout
dunno why...

1st of all: the usb cable cannot be used to read data from Rogers GD88 or GU87. You need a serial cable.
2nd, Panareader does not support A38 firmware so you'll have to downgrade to A22 in order to create a sim log. Don't ask me how to do it I found it too complicated and scared to try it so I simply sold mine.
Look through other threads, firmware downgrade/upgrade have been discussed 100000 times.
