Ok Im trying to unlock using patch method and this is what happens(please see image.)

does this have anything to do with the main and fs that i am using or is it the file that has been patched that is throwing this damaged package error.

Problem has been solved for those intrested, make sure you use setool2lite v1.10 or ^ . 100% unlock via patch method thanks.

So, i just use setoollite v 1.10 and works?It´s no needed anything more?

Fred,
just follow the db2020 unlocking via patch method you will be fine. There are more things that will be needed. They are all readily available with minimal searching. Just follow the tutorial.

I see that a couple of you have successfuly patch-unlocked AT&T W580i's so I will ask here.

I tried the Simox method.. and although the process seemed to go smoothly.. no errors or "failed" messages, the phone's still not recognizing a T-Mobile sim.

I used W580_R8BE001_MAIN_GENERIC_LA_RED52.mbn to generate the quick access and unlock patches, and I have W580_R8BE001_FS_AMERICA_2_RED52.fbn &
W580_CDA102568_107_R8A_GENERIC_AMERICA_2 on my phone.

So I don't think the file combination is the problem, and all 5 padlocks are open in the Simlock menu. The phone seems to function fine, other than the fact that it isn't truly unlocked. Any thoughts?

W580_R8BE001_FS_AMERICA_2_RED52 should really go with W580_R8BE001_MAIN_NAM_1_LA_RED52

For MAIN_GENERIC you want anything other than CHINA/HONGKONG/TAIWAN/AMERICA . Pick one of the European ones, or APAC , and a geographically compatible customization

I dunno if that's the reason.
