P2KCommander crashes when I click [re-read] on my Maxx Ve. I've tried everything...

I'm trying to get P2KCommander to work with Razr Maxx Ve and P2KCommander crashes every time I click [re-read] next to /a P2k Phone system.

I've configured my P2KCommander settings so everything is unchecked except for: [Use P2k05 commands...] and [Safe (slow) 3G-P2Kk commands]

I've also installed this on two computers and have the exact same results. First I install the Motorola USB Drivers and then the Motorola Software Update. When I'm trying to run P2KCommander, I first launch MSU and then connect my phone.

P2KCommander finds the phone (in the log window), but when I click [re-read] it says something like Files Found: 0 (repeated twice) and then the application just crashes.

I've tried P2KCommander v4.9E and many other versions but nothing works.

I'm also using Windows XP Pro SP2 if that matters.

Also, can I disable this damn sidetone on the Maxx?

Please help! I'd like to try a couple of seem edits, etc.

On the newer versions of P2kCommander, you need to uncheck Options > Use P2k05 Commands to work with the Maxx.

I upgraded to 4.9.E and wondered how I lost connectivity with my Maxx until I changed that setting.

So I need to disable the P2K05 commands?

Yes. You want to uncheck that option, which disables the P2K05 commands.

I regularly switch between Maxx Ve and V9m and that is the only setting I must change.

Use 4.9.8 and first have PST running in the background. Commander will then say volume fail but it will work anyhow. It may never work if you dont have pst running. You must run pst then plug phone to usb. After pst connects than open commander. In that order.

PST is a dinosaur. Get Motorola Software Update and run it in the background instead. Also, it looks for updates every time you use it.
