How to expand txt msg memory???

I was wondering how i would expand the txt msg memory for a motorola i880 Mike phone from telus.. right now it holds 20 txt msgs in the inbox and 30 in the outbox.. i was wondering if there is a way to hack the phone and switch around the memory a bit?
