HTC Touch message as_starter.exe Help!

My Bell Touch shows the message
"as_starter.exe cannot be opened..... reinstall or restore"
Has anyone else seen this? How do I get rid of it?
I tried a soft reset but it returns on startup.

Sounds like activesync trying to start up.
If its borked an wont even when you iniate it, you may have to hard reset the unit to factory.
Idk, maybe others will chime in with more info for you.

If you happened to uninstall SyncMate for syncing your device on a Mac it can give you that error as it leaves a file behind in the startup folder.
Simple solution in that case is to go to your Windows/Startup folder and delete the file called "syncmate".
