8525 - Why does my camera suck so bad?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

It's basically worthless. The VGA camera I had in my V3 is better.

All (ALL) the pictures I take are blurry as hell. Is there any way to at least adjust the shutter speed?

Because if not, any pictures I take need to be of dead people, or stationary targets.

it is pretty useless, although i did notice that closeup shots with the micro setting (the little switch to the flower icon) look pretty decent

Get the 8925/Tilt. HTC made it a 3.2 MP unit and added autofocus.

I noticed the 8525's camera is actually faster in taking pictures compared to the Tilt, and it seems to be nicer and 8525 got FLASH, which Tilt doesn't. so.. I prefer 8525 for that.. Overall, I like them both.

I hated the camera (still do to some extent) but the following made it better:
- Start the camera
- Go to settings
- Find a setting which says "Adjust" (its on page 2/3 of Advanced settings)
- Adjust contrast to 6, saturation to 6, hue to 5 and sharpness to 6
Or set them to match your requirements
Hopefully this will make the camera bit more useful

EDIT: also make sure the Night mode is off, that keeps the shutter open longer and requires stationary objects

I've already checked all of that. It's the shutter itself, it's way too long.

I'll have to look for something else. Not interested in blind-buying something when I don't know if it will fix my problem.

My pictures come out so crappy.
