I had a blackjack and on the blackjack there was a button under the wheel that if you had programs open and went to the desktop the button would go to each program without having to restart them. Is there a button that does that on the tilt, i hate having to go to IE then going and going through the pages to get back to where I was. Kinda like Ctrl + tab on your pc

Wirelessly posted (Palm Treo 750: 8900a/1.2 Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 7.6))

I use SPB Pocket plus which ads this funtionality. I modified the registry to disable th PTT button so I could reassign it to be alt_tab. I also assigned the "context menu" to a button, which is like a replacement to the HTC task manager.
SPB Pocket Plus is my my one "must have" essential app and the first thing I install after a factory reset.
Think this might do what you want? Scren shots are on their site.

By the way which do you like better so far. The Blackjack or the Tilt. I've been tempted to try a BJack.

It's amazing how many applications are available for different tastes. SPB Pocket Plus is the LAST program I'd EVER install on a Pocket PC, short of Norton or McAfee anti-virus. For me, SPB Pocket Plus is a screen cluttering, memory hogging mess.

As for a task switcher for the OP, there is one already built into the Tilt. By default, you minimize programs by pressing the Call end button or by tapping Start - Today. When you want to switch to a different program, tap on the icon on the upper-right corner of the Today screen, then tap on the name of the application you want to bring back. Don't tap on the X icon for an application unless you really want to unload it from memory.

You can open the Task Manager settings (Start - Settings - System tab) and change the behavior so you can tap the ' x ' icon to minimize programs and tap & hold the ' x ' to unload programs.

I'd like to defend the new version of SPB Pocket plus as vastly improved. I respectfully disagree and think it's a very good collection of must have features. The older version had some thigs I didn't like. But I fully understand your position.
FWIW, I'll never use a Norton product ever again.

Regarding the build in task switcher. You're absolutely right. This should be more than enough for the OP. For some reason I thought he had already tried that and was looking for a way to assign the alt-tab action to a button.
But if tapping the corner of the screen is fine then there's no reason to install anything 3rd party.

Yes, on the Tilt, tapping the ' x ' unloads programs by default. Like I said, you can go to the Settings panel for the Task Manager and change the behavior, if tapping the ' x ' to minimize programs feels more natural. If you do that, then you'd tap & hold the ' x ' when you want to fully unload the program. (Tap & Hold = keep touching the icon for at least one second.)
