How do I change the phone number in my Alltel V3c. Its an older one but may use it some, I know Ill have to call in at some point but can I do some of it myself?

#0setup* (#073887*). You need to type that on your home screen (fairly fast) just like you were typing a number to call someone. The security code is all 0's (zero's). Go to User Activation, NAM 1, and enter your info from whatever phone you are using now. Your info says you have a V9m; if it's an Alltel V9m, do the same thing I just said, but only to view the info in NAM 1, and change the entries in NAM 1 on the V3c to match the V9m. Then all you need to do is call Alltel and give them the ESN number to enter into their system, call *228 and select option 2, and you'll be all set.

Just so you know, when you call in to switch the ESN, the rep will have you do an over-the-air activation, making everything above useless. I've yet to come across a rep that trusts that I've already had the information entered. If over-the-air activation doesn't work, they have you do what I said above, BTW.

Just tell them that you've already input the NAM information (the truth). They've always believed me!
