T-Mo Pearl to Curve?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Do you guys notice any real difference between the 2 as far as the OS? If I purchase a curve, will I still stare at that spinning hourglass forever when accessing my pictures?

the curve is a far superior device...

Why do you say that? Does the Curve not give you the hourglass when accessing media? They both run on 64 megs of rom, don't they?

Anyone else?

I really want to switch to the Curve for the full keyboard and wifi. I will be furious if I spend that much money and still get that hourglass constantly...

I use the Curve while my sister uses the Pearl. Both of them are running the most recent OS versions that T-Mobile has available. No problems with either one, spinning hourglass or not. Have you tried updating your OS version on the Pearl to see if it fixes the problem?

My apologies for bein' a phallic object and not elaborating

In my opinion, the reasons the curve is a far superior device are as follows:

1) Larger Screen. You will have larger screen real estate for browsing the web, reading e-mails and such. Also comes in VERY handy for watching movies full screen in a native aspect ratio without having to resize to the size of a postage stamp.

2) Full QWERTY keyboard. This is a GODSEND for those of us that txt or e-mail a lot. Even comes in handy for the simplest of input tasks. If you find predictive text inputs too fickle, QWERTY resolves any and all issues by negating the need for any other form of input.

3) WiFi. While not fully realized yet, the potention of the wifi component (Curve 8320) is enourmous. Right now it's limited to the standard BlackBerry Browser and UMA, but, with future firmware updates, could be made available to any and all apps. The major decided factor for me getting the Curve 8320 was that it supports UMA. I have non-existant cellular service at home due to the construction of the building. UMA has solved this and I can now make crystal clear calls using any open or properly configured WiFI access point

I can honestly list NO reasons why anyone would want a Pearl over a Curve aside from the smaller form factor (if it's really an issue for the user) or the fruity colors available

Hope this helped to clear things up for ya

Yeah, I have the latest T-Mo os. I have also uninstalled any unused themes or programs.
