Hi,

Im just wondering if i dont have BES/BIS and just use generic data plan on my pearl, and lets say have gmail on it.. can i still open docs and pdfs if i sent them to myself?

cause i hate the fact i cannot open a doc or pdf from the memory card seriously that is the worst invention i have seen yet.. a pda phone that cant do those simple functions i dont understand that at all.

I agree with you, this should be included in a business phone. There is a 3rd party app called beamberry, but it is $50 per year. A little steep in my mind.

wow 50$ a year?? to open a pdf file? im seriously considering selling my pearl and use my w810i while i find a better phone, this is non sense a pda phone missing out business needed features

the only way you can try that program out is if you have a BIS/BES subscription? this is complete garbage

I have no problem opening any file type i've found so far...pdf, excel, doc, docx, etc. on my 8130 from alltel. I have a friend with an 8130 from verizon and his will open pdf and excel only...what's up with that?
