I was wondering what this icon is...it's in the front page, at the bottom left...there's this footsteps thing with numbers besidee it

its the step counter. The w580 was originally for people who go jogging or do sports, and it has that counter which tells you how many steps you took for the day.

ohh I see...but is there anyway to turn it off?

You can turn it off through the menu, and it will save some battery life.

the factory default is OFF, someone went in and turnd it on. not very accurate without setting it up properly

i did the calibration thing. every time i look at it it's some strange number. it's 0 even tho i carry it, then it might be 214 just sitting there.
