Yep.

Today, I attempted trying to debrand my phone using Wotanserver. At first, the USB driver thing was giving me problems, but it worked all of a sudden. I took out the sim, configured it, and started the debranding. Halfway through the flash the internet died on me. Wotanserver then stopped responding and closed itself...

Now, it wont turn on at all. The good thing is though, that when I plug it back into a computer, it recognizes itself SEMC USB or something like that. I don't have the time or the right computer to do it on right now, or else I would attempt it again.

Its on my insurance with AT&T so I'll just tell them that its lost or stolen. I don't mind AT&T refurbs at all - they are real good.

its a 08w02

edit - I've flashed my phones a couple times with WotanServer, no problems before...

People have had success in this situation by using Wotan a second time, bringing the phone back to life. The SEMC USB Flash device is the interface that it uses to flash the phone.

My guess is that the flash ROM is empty at the moment.

ya as long as you were not messing with the GDFS...
Just reflash it it should be fine..
Why use davinci?
I recommend doing it yourself -- there is a guide as a stickie in this modding section.

can't you just reflash it?, I was flashing mine couple days ago, forgot to change the phone model, could get it to work, reflashed it, works again

Yea... I requested one from insurance. I'll have the refurb soon and then when I get time, debrand the original. That way I end up having two phones, 1 unbranded, 1 carrier branded.

It still says Error when connected to my computer. The New Hardware Found thing keeps popping up and asking me what I want to do with 'Error', either look online for the drivers or whatever... I can't really find another computer at this moment in time to test it out on...

bumP! I've tried SEUS (just to see what will happen) and it acutally recognized the phone, but said no update was available.

I'm going to attempt to try it tomorrow. Wish me luck! I hope my friends computer can recognize the phone!!

you should be able to do this tut and save the phone..

SEUS will only update if it sees an update available. This method will "force" the phone to accept this flash..

Yea, I'll be sure to try WotanServer, then the tutorial posted above. I generally tend to stay away from complicated stuff, but I don't have much to lose at all...

good luck =D i think there snewer firmware floating around so might be wise to get one of those =D

Some one should write a tut for XS++ that we can get stickied up with far and setool2lt.
