I got a VX8700 from Verizon 2 weeks ago. I have the CLGE8500DAT1 cable, and the newest version of BitPim.

However, I don't have a driver. I think I need LG5? Where do I get this?

I'm new to this. I also had a cable for my previous VX8100 and couldn't get it to work either.

I have the same question. Could you be a little more specific. Is it in the
V cast music manager download that is free or in the music essentials kit that is 29.99?

the free Vcast music manager is what you want. The Verizon site will ask you what phone you want to get drivers for. I would email the install file to you, but it's around 21MB.

What I downloaded was called:
VZMM2-DL-LG-Bld39-81k-83k-85k-8550-86k-87k-94k-98k-99k-002.exe
