I feel like a moron that I cannot get this to work. I have read many hours and still cannot get it. I run the wizard in the QPST and use "all cdma phones". I do not see phone my device manager as a com port. I put it in ##DIAG#. and it keeps asking for "qcmdmxp.sys". I have tried Bitpim and cdma workshop and none see the phone! What am I doing wrong? What do I need to fix? If you could link me to any files to do with as I have searched with what I have and cannot get any to work. I have QPST and CDMA Workshop. I have downloaded a bunch of drivers. It will Active Sync. Maybe I am trying to install drivers in wrong place? Phone or computer? I am a newbie at this. THANKS FOR ANY HELP!

if you have XP just redetect your phone and locate the driver manually. its in c\windows\system32\drivers

make sure active sync settings usb connection isturned off...it will make windows detect phone as modem..

That worked! Thanks! I got it to work and 2 other files to see phone, but I cannot get Bitpim to connect. What phone settings should I use for Mogul? I used SE44 cannot seem to find SE47 and also tried CMDA Works and I connect to the phone. Thanks for all your help!

hey man i had the same problem make sure you're in ##diag mode and it should automatically download the drivers if not you should be able to find them on mobile-files.com

Posted by: milldog

its a mogul so it may be different from 6700..also you know on a mogul all you can do is change service programming and msl.... i did it in vista so it may be a lil different

Posted by: bcherup

thats all i need to do. i need to reset the MSL to 00000 and get her ready for alltel

Posted by: milldog

bcherup you need to find se47...its kyocera tool that will reset the msl for you..its real easy....after that its a breeze getting it on alltel thats what i did with my 6700...

Posted by: milldog

also the msl needs to be reset to 6 0's so alltels over the air will be able to reprogram it...sprint has the msl set as some crazy something but alltels are all 000000

look for a program called GETspc or install a registry editor on the phone and contact me on how to use it so the phone can give you the spc in a txt doc by itself

search google or mobile-files for 6700 drivers i kno their different phonez but they also work for mogul's diag mode, then put ur fone in diag mode wen new hardware pops up hit browse and direct it to the drivers you downloaded, then wen thats done fire up qpst's configuration and select the comport ur mogul's on, if u c surf**** somethin then U GOT IT get into service programming and hit read from phone itll ask for the curren spc, type it in and itll read ur mogul, change the spc to 000000 n write to phone n ur done!

No need to YELL. heh. Seriously - What me thinks yer getin' is a Device Manager popup loking for a "generic Serial" - Search for qcmdmxp.sys on mobile-files.com (don't put it on yor desktop, my doc's)... and I had HTC Modem on 4, and Serial on COM2, but goto activesync , and in file menu | connection setting | alow a connection to this: CoM5: , then ##DIAG# on phone (You'll hear two doorbells (I.E. Windows Found new hardware jingle.. )) and when you open cdma workshop - tell it com5: and then click Connect, and then read - BTW changing carrier name in NAM Settings (which BTW i did hard way - got SPC, and set it when I entered ##PST#) DOES NOT (not for me...) change the carrier name displayed in the top left of HTC Home...
