I mean wow.. almost ditched my iPhone for a blackjack 2 today I am so annoyed.

This phone has had problem after problem (understandable considering it is a first gen product, but still annoying)

However, don't you think by the fourth version of the software they would get it right?!

Right now:
- Texts going out of order
- Time getting stuck
- Phone losing all signal, not returning until restarted or put in airplane mode
- Safari crashing non stop (when it decides to work..)

And oh yay! Now it wont even turn on!

October 3rd.. originally had 1.0.2 on it. It seems like its new problems with every update. This one is by far the worst though.

I had the same problems. I restored it back to factory and then updated it to 1.1.3. Don't restore to a previous backup. Then sync your contacts, ipod and etc... It works for me. Let me know if works for you.

I had to restore as well when I first installed 1.1.3. And when I restored to a previous backup I had the same problems. Then I restored to a new iPhone and resynced everything and now it works great.

I don't have any issues with my iPhone. I'm almost scared to sell my 8gb to get the 16gb as I never have had an issue w/ my 2nd or 3rd iPhone. The 1st was because I jailbroke it and forgot and would try to sync w/ iTunes.

I had the no signal thing happen to me today. Haven't had any of the other problems though, and that was the first time that happened after a week and a half of having the update installed. I was concerned about the text message bug but thus far it hasn't been an issue. I don't do a lot of rapid texting back and forth so that might be why it hasn't cropped up.

I had the no signal issue w/ no help after restoring. Took it the apple store and had it replaced, now w/ no issues.

Ive had quite a few issues since the 1.1.3 update. This is my second iPhone and when I first got it, it was much better then my first one. I had alot of dropped calls with my first iPhone, then none when I got this one. But after the last update its had signal issues, screen issues, battery cant make a whole day with light usage and overall instability. Im so tired of it Im thinking of selling it again. And to make things worse the SDK is delayed.

I've restored it a couple of times, still messes up. I am still on my first one, cuz the nearest apple stores are 2 to 3 hours away. I finally got the thing to turn on after doing a hard reset, but those other problems still peeve me off quite a bit. I don't want to have to check my phone every 5 minutes to make sure I still have signal. It's very annoying.

I experience drop calls also...its not that bad, but its occurs from time to time. At least once or twice a day.

I think thats network issue not phone issue.

Texts being out of order is a bug in 1.1.3 and the only way to fix it is to go back to a previous firmware, or wait for 1.1.4

I have to disagree. My iPhone drops the calls regularly. I took the same path using my work issued Blackberry Curve (on AT&T as well), and it did not drop the calls in the same places.

It is getting so frustrating, people are expecting it when I call. That is absolutely irritating.

Hi guys,

I purcahsed an unlocked iPhone from the US in October which came on 1.0.2...and was unlocked for the UK which i use a Orange SIM...everything was fine, until the updates of 1.1.3 got the better of me (Map positioning mainly)

I updated to 1.1.3 via Ziphone which seemed fine, until i encounterd the problems listed below;

- Wifi doesnt sync with the source (does not work)
- Some calls come through as Blocked (when they callers number is not witheld)
- iTunes is not syncing my movies even though 'Sync' movies is checked in iTunes
- My number is displayed with a '-' at the top of my contacts list

I would appreciate some help on how to fix these items.

Also can i ask what SDK is and what this means for the average iPhone user who unlocks/ jailbreaks?

That's not a general iPhone problem, or 1.1.3, but rather your handset specific. I have a week 22 iPhone, and I've never had a single issue with it on T-Mobile, on any of the firmwares.

I have none of your issues with an OOTB 1.1.3 ZiPhoned. SDK = Software Development Kit that is the apple supported/sanctioned software for 3rd party applications. Some companies have been giving the SDK so they can prepare for the launch with ready made products, so no need to hack your phone anymore.

If you select settings > general > date & time > set automatically to on, it corrects this issue.

Oh, was there somthing i done wrong with updating using Ziphone to not have bluetooth, wifi working properly?

Oh any idea when this SDK will be available? Does this mean you wont have to unlock and jailbreak no more?

The SDK does not have anything to do with unlocking. He means that once the SDK is out, and companies are getting access to be able to install programs on the iPhone, it won't have to be jailbroken for many of the applications that we use to work.

Back to my other issue, does anybody know what i can do about Bluetooth/ Wifi not working after upgrading from 1.0.2 to 1.1.3 via iTunes then unlocking using Ziphone?

The automatic time update does not work. Mine was already on automatic. Turned it off, turned it back on, and still no avail.

Also, my phone was experiencing these problems way before I jailbroke it not too long ago.

I'm really pissed. Using my d807 right now, actually.
