the good ol SE123 model

Posted by: randomtask77

Could be the replacement to the W580. W590 maybe?

Posted by: SuxBeingU

I assume the 760 is the replacement ofr the 580, same slider bigger keypad witha 3.2 camera. this may be the repalcement or step up from the 760

Posted by: cta16

Doesn't look like W series though.

Posted by: sfgadv02

Looks more like the S-series. S550i?

Posted by: ThorBlaze Dragon

S610?
hopefully it'll have quad-3G

Posted by: TheGriffin

Call me crazy, but anyone else hear "LG Shine" when looking at this phone?

Posted by: chimphappyhour

Nah, when I saw it, all I could think was, "dang, it looks like ANOTHER Tmo Samsung slider!"

Posted by: cta16

Yeah the softkeys kinda remind me of the G800's

Posted by: bigb252

Yea it looks more Samsungish than LG IMO

Posted by: Shroomster

if memory serves...when they brand a phone with the W and walkman logos odds are it's a W-series phone....

Posted by: ThorBlaze Dragon

Wirelessly posted (HP 211 and/or nokia N73: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 7.7))

by the new naming scheme, it may be C605

Posted by: cta16

This is the new naming scheme

Also, S series will also be for camera phones(like back in the old days with the S700). The S in S series stands for 'snapshot'.

Posted by: SuxBeingU

what about the Z stuff coming out, the Z750 and Z 555

Posted by: cta16

I guess those are part of the old way of naming. I took that diagram from the unofficial SE blog.

Posted by: cta16

New pics of the new slider.

Posted by: riel

Reminds me of Samsung sliders actually.

Just found some more information on the SE-123. What an odd name. Also, after a bit of snooping:

http://forums.se-nse.net/index.php?showtopic=19289

First sentence states that it's a pre-release version of the P1i. The two look nothing alike, so I'm wondering if anybody can confirm this.

Posted by: cta16

The front reminds me of a Samsung G800.

@herbicious - all SE's that are prototypes are named SE123. So its not just that phone thats name is SE123

Posted by: herbicious

Oh, I guess you do learn something new everyday. Thanks for the explanation.

So it's safe to assume that these SE123 phones get released to the general public in like Hong Kong and stuff? Why would SE release phones that are...kinda buggy? I mean they're pre-release for a reason, right?

Posted by: cta16

No, SE123 phones do not get released to the public. Where it says SE123 will be replaced by its real number. For example:

prototype changed to...

Posted by: herbicious

Oh, I see! Then, how in the world did this person happen to acquire a retail box?

http://bp2.blogger.com/_h5hOmDEy1n4...A/s1600-h/s.jpg

Is it safe to assume that they work(ed) for Sony Ericsson?

Posted by: cta16

That I don't know. I have no idea where these leaks are coming from. But I doubt that the red box is for this phone since the phone is still in prototype stages.

Posted by: herbicious

Oh, alright alright. Thanks for graciously answering all those questions I nagged at you, much appreciated.

Posted by: ThorBlaze Dragon

by the new model scheme, the model I guess is:
S505, or S605 if it has 3G

Posted by: ThorBlaze Dragon

it's T303

From what I've read, it does not have EDGE.

Posted by: ThorBlaze Dragon

the reason why I said it has EDGE because it has G instead of triangle over signal meter
most of EDGE supported phones have that

Posted by: Tehy

T303 seems like a nice handsets! It's small and probably cheap too I might even get one...

Here's some T303 live pics

I may pick one if it has EDGE, but I have to check the spec whitesheet first

Wouldn't "G" mean GPRS and "E" mean EDGE?

The blue triangle was probably the old method of displaying data reception. Having the phone display either "G" or "E" is just a newer method, but I don't think that just because it displays a letter doesn't mean that it'll switch from "G" to "E".
