I used the unlock IPSF method (using bootloader 3.9). I'm currently on 1.1.3. Did not use ZiPhone. QUESTIONS FOR CLARIFICATION:

People who have their phone set up like mine:

1. Can I update to 1.1.4? (If so, update or restore?)

2. Eventhough the jailbreaking might work, will the UNLOCK remain on the phone so I can keep using my T-Mobile service with no problems?

as i understand it right now...

1.1.4 + ziphone =

jailbreak : yes

activate : no

unlock : no

i could be very wrong, but that it what i have gathered so far

so no, your previous unlock wouldnt hold to 1.1.4

Jailbreak works for sure. Unlock SHOULD work. However there is no way to bypass activation. So yes/no/maybe?

Do any of the apps still work after jailbreak? Or do you have to create new links to where ever the new app repository is in 1.1.4

If Im useing ATT I can go ahead and activate it right? I dont unlock my phone so do I have to worry about anything. I have 1.1.3 jailbroken.

Do you mean legit iPhone service w/ AT&T, activated via iTunes? If so, then you can jailbreak. If not, you'll have to wait for Zibri to update ZiPhone for activation with 1.1.4.

Whats the best way to jailbrake 1.1.4 now?

Hi guys,

I purcahsed an unlocked iPhone from the US in October which came on 1.0.2...and was unlocked for the UK which i use a Orange SIM...everything was fine, until the updates of 1.1.3 got the better of me (Map positioning mainly)

I updated to 1.1.3 via Ziphone which seemed fine, until i encounterd the problems listed below;

- Wifi doesnt sync with the source (does not work)
- Some calls come through as Blocked (when they callers number is not witheld)
- iTunes is not syncing my movies even though 'Sync' movies is checked in iTunes
- My number is displayed with a '-' at the top of my contacts list

I would appreciate some help on how to fix these items

i just udpated to 1.1.4 using itunes... and ran ziphone modified version from http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=740 to jailbreak/activate...

i was unlocked with ISPF in 1.1.3 so i installed ssh and put over the signal app and plist into the applications directory, and the signal.plist into your /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/, and set both to 0755

Ok... I started using the ziphone modified... When I get to the step to install BSD, for some reason I don't think wifi is working... It will connect, but I do not get a wifi icon. And when I try to download on Installer, it says can't download as if not connected to internet.

Please help

so I should avoid going to the Macstore and upgrading to 1.1.4 with their computers? (I don't own a mac)
