8125/HTC Wizard HELP!! D-Pad problem

Hi, I need your genius' help!
I have a Cingular 8125/HTC Wizard, Win5.0, ROM 2.25.11, & a 2 gig SD memory card.
Somehow my D-pad (directional buttons) recently got screwed up.. One day I noticed they'd just switched & I wasn't even doing anything to the OS!
The Down & Right D-pad buttons work fine; but the Up & Left D-pad buttons BOTH go Right, TOO!!
It's maddening.
I have spent hours trying different remap programs (which generally only remap soft-keys) and Many more hours searching the Registry to try & find the setting/switch & failing miserably.
I don't want to hard-reset the bugger as I finally got my PPC set-up, looking & acting exactly the way I want it.
Please Help!?!!
