Hi, I'm new to Blackberries (ys?), and having only had experience with Treos and Motorola phones, I naturally have a question.

I am thinking of buying a Blackberry on eBay. Only problem is that the cheapest ones are with Verizon and I have Alltel. Now, I know that the providers are intercompatible, as my dad bought a Treo 650 on Verizon and activated it with no problems on Alltel. How would I get into the NAM on the Blackberry?

Be very careful of buying a BB on ebay, especially if you don't know what you are doing or know much about them. It isn't as easy as buying a regular phone.

You will also need to contact your carrier with the BB's ESN/IMEI to make sure it can be activated at all and then activated on your carrier's network.
