Can't connect to wifi at home!!! HELP!

I can't connect. I set up my wifi account using the wizard, and all went well. But it shows the wifi as a yellow symbol, and its grayed out on top. I called AT&T and they said it won't work without a data plan.
When I check the "Available Wifi connections" it shows my home one as CONNECTED. I can't figure out the issue. HELP PLEASE!
