Best browser for 6700

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I picked up a ppc 6700 off ebay so far I am liking it however the default internet browser leaves something to be desired.

What is the best internet browser for the xv6700 / ppc 6700

I was hoping for something that is able to properly render complex sites and achieve fairly quick load times.

Thanks

How do you get WM6.1 onto the XV6700? I heard that WM6 and on is better than WM5 so is there a way to completely get rid of WM5 and replace it with WM6.1? Also, anybody else get terrible battery life with the 6700? Got mine today and it seems to be pretty bad, even if I'm just texting or calling people. Part of it is probably from the iPhone theme the eBay seller included with it.

I don't have a good answer for that. Mine sucks so I keep it plugged in when I can and I bought an extra battery that I carry with me.

Best browser is a toss up between ThunderHawk and Opera. Have both, still a fan of ThunderHawk.

Are they better than the Picsel Browser? It came on my phone and is pretty nifty. Only thing I dislike about it is that some sites get jumbled up and don't appear as they should.

Good day
I have been doing reading in the forums, and asked at a BellWorld and a BellMobility, yet am still confused.

Can this phone - modified or not - access the web/email from my Mobile Browser Unlim plan? I do not want to shell out the $15+/month for a limited plan, when I get the Unlim MB for $7.

Please help me find out, as it will affect my decision of which phone to buy.

Phones: Moto e815 - dead
Considering PPC6700, Music, Touch, SPH-M500, e815.

Cheers in advance.

Nope I called the bell centre a few days ago and they told me that it has to have a data plan to have internet. So far the only pda type of phone with unlimited mobile is the HTC Touch(that I can find anyways)

On the plus side the 6700 does have Wi-Fi so if theres an abundance of hotspots in your area you could do that instead of paying for cellular internet.

If you like the touch screen, you'll love the Touch Browser. Go to Handango to get it. It comes with a keyboard mod that includes a key with ".com" on it.
