The problem is because AT&T uses both 850 and 1900 bands, but the k810i only supports 1900. So, reception with AT&T is a bit of a crapshoot. TMobile on the other hand, uses only 1900, so you're good there. I'm considering switching to TMobile because of this (and because I'm sick of AT&T).
BTW I haven't used the k790i but I love the k810i and am getting (another) one shortly. What's everyone favorite place for buying one? So far it seems like exoticphone.com is the way to go (they even subsidize with new service!). |
