Hi,
Iam moving to U.S. in 4-5months and had already decided to buy k790i (thanks to this forum) that i could use here in southasia aswell as in US, but recently i came across k810i which lks. equally impressive and is $50 more.

My requirements are:

1) "GOOD" camera phone (as i cant carry a digicam everywhere)

2) Xenon Flash

3) Bluetooth (transfer pics wirelessly)

4) Phone that will work here and in US aswell.

k810i or k790i
pls. help me choose btw these 2 great phones coz both seem to have camera and xenon flash.

Also ive read k790i has a crappy video recorder..!!

Whats the video recorder like on k810i compared to k790i???

Why of the 2 is a better digicam??

What other advantages does k810i have??

also what are the ISO setting on these two??

ive used samsung D900 which has ISO upto 400 and takes ok pics. at night.

K850 is not in my budget so thats not a contender.
Any suggestions are welcome,

Thanks for replying guyz,
This forum has helped me out alot sofar

K810 is a minor update of K800 with new housing
get C702 if you can wait, as it has quad-2G, the rest should be same as K800 except:
it has HSDPA 2100
it has EDGE
it has LED light instead of flash

I believe that the differences between the two in camera are pretty negligible because they're practically identical.

From what I've read on GSM Arena, the k810 has a comparably better battery life, 3G, and a nice video-calling camera, and if the U.S. is anything like Canada, then you definitely won't be the only in your neighbourhood with a k790. But if you don't need all that stuff, might as well save your $50.

They're both pretty sweet phones though, so you're looking at a win-win situation here.

i don't want to go off topic but i'm interested in both phones as well but i'd rather have the k810 but i thought it doesn't have good reception in the u.s. because it doesn't have the 850 band?

The problem is because AT&T uses both 850 and 1900 bands, but the k810i only supports 1900. So, reception with AT&T is a bit of a crapshoot. TMobile on the other hand, uses only 1900, so you're good there. I'm considering switching to TMobile because of this (and because I'm sick of AT&T).

BTW I haven't used the k790i but I love the k810i and am getting (another) one shortly. What's everyone favorite place for buying one? So far it seems like exoticphone.com is the way to go (they even subsidize with new service!).

Yes that's what I meant. I live in LA and used to have Cingular, it just changed to AT&T. The providers I have here are TMobile at 1900, and Sprint and Verizon, but they're not compatible.

AT&T (formerly known as Cingular) runs on 850/1900 GSM. In some areas, they run only on 850. You will want a phone that supports both 850/1900 if you want the best coverage possible.

Sprint and Verizon are not GSM, you can't use these phones on their networks.
