Remember the T610 (T630/T637?) Best Current Equivalent?

I used to have a T610 3 or 4? years back... one of my favourite phones. granted it's BT reception was junk.. but this was when there were only a handful of phones with BT at all. It had a great and relatively easy to use interface, sleek somewhat retro design, and pretty small even by today's standards. Then one fateful day it died, and I may never know why.

Anyway, I've been looking for the closest current equivalent to the T610.

I personally have been leaning towards the K790a/K800i,

but what would you say it is?

(I would also love to hear anything about their phones from former or current users of the T610 and similar phones.)

I remember having my T637 from Cingular. It wasn't that bad except that it didn't have EDGE and I wasn't use to the SE interface. I did sort of liked the little joystick it had on the front. I think I stopped using it right after I got my Nokia 6230 which became my main phone.

A few months ago, I bought a Nokia E50 while in Bahrain and the one thing that reminded me of the T637 was the joystick the E50 has.

I haven't looked at any of the current SE line of phones as I'm more of a Samsung user.

the update to it is the T650i, and the K770i is also the same thing.

the difference between the 2 models:

T650i - half metal housing, mineral glass coating (scratch resistant), 12.5mm thickness

K770i - camera lens protector, 14mm thickness

Wirelessly posted (HP 211 and/or nokia N73: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 7.7))

K790 no doubt
it may be a big leap
K550 or W810 if you're budget-conscious

K790a is a great phone no doubt
however, a successor C702i is coming, which has quad-2G

yeah i had the t616 (had terrrrrrible RF) so left a bad taste in my mouth for future SE's but the k790a made me a believer.

k790a is definitely a phone you can keep for a solid 3-4

well if you liked the look of the t610 (it was a great phone) then the t650 is it. favorite phone i've owned in a while.

i've also had a k790, but it's a little long in the tooth now. have you checked out the k810? better looking IMO. there's also the k850 and the new C-series Cybershot phones coming out soon.

would also say the black t650! looks so kool! in the same series as t610 too! =)
