Ziphone 2.5 & Macbook & ATT

I am reading all these threads about ziphone but can't find what I need to know. If I have a new 16gb already upgraded to 1.4 and a Macbook and use ATT as my carrier will ziphone 2.5 work well? I mean will google maps locate work? Could I have sounds problems like people are being reported? Keep in mind I don't want to change my baseband to 3.9. I don't even know what baseband is but I heard once you go back, currently there is now way to get it back. Thanks for any help. Oh and what option do I choose in ziphone to do this so all I do is jailbreak the iPhone? X-y or something like that?

won't cause any problems. And pick the option to jailbreak only and it won't change your bootloader or baseband. Enjoy
