Seczone backup with previous Zibri-IPSF?

I used Zibri's IPSF-like unlock with the requisite seczone backup for 1.1.3 just before the first Ziphone was released. Theoretically, this unlock will survive a restore/upgrade to 1.1.4. Therefore, I just need ZiPhone to jailbreak/activate, correct?

Would it hurt to perform all 3 (jail, act, unlock)?

I would try just jailbreak and activate.

Just a possible correction, but to my knowledge Zibri has no IPSF-style unlock. GeoHotz came up with the IPSF free unlock solution and this is not the type of unlock solution used in ZiPhone (gunlock does not unlock IPSF style). Someone please correct me if I am wrong on this info.

To support dhendriksen, your phone should survive the upgrade, and jailbreaking / activating should be all you need to do. However of course, you will probably still need the signal.app thing (unless thats changed and I dont know it...heh.). Please let us know how it goes!

Yes, you're right. It was the GeoHotz IPSF-style unlock.

You bring up a good point. I need to have that Signal.app begin at each boot. Now, AFAIK, a ZiPhone unlock does not require this, correct? Perhaps I should just remove the GeoHotz IPSF unlock (with seczone backup) and simply use ZiPhone instead? Thanks....
