About 3 months of use from my girlfriend and 3 weeks for me, here's is what I consider the most quick important facts about this CDMA handset.

Pros:
- Battery autonomy: 2@3 normal days with ~30@45 mins talking each day
- Custom programmable shortcut menu
- Loud speakerphone and works very well in quiet environnement
- Loud earpiece (not the loudest but very good)
- feels solid
- large screen with nice green backligth
- large phonebook with customisable shortcut for each entry (400 entries)
- the joystick for easy navigation
- Voice memo
- Menu interface is quick
- quick to logon the network when emerging from a dead zone (ex from the metro)
- 30 and + custom ringtones slut! (officially I think it 32 or 36)

Cons:
- errors in the manual (no phonebook max. capacity specified, the manual talk about an option to see the phone book status but this option is not in the menus of the handset!, etc)
- the reflective screen like on timex watchs may be annoying (it very depends on the angle that you see it)
- Can't vibe while ringing (very minor)
- Datebook doesn't support view by month
- Datebook doesn't support two-weeks repeated events
- Datebook doesn't support Month view despite the big screen
- fast typing for numeric tones or letters tend to be sluggish (minor)
- wap browser seems to be buggy
- No infrared
- No bluetooth unless plugg-in adapter
- No games
- No alarm

Build quality: 4/5 -> the removable battery cover tend to be flimpsy
Battery life: 4/5 -> it's not the best and could have been better but worse exist
Phone related features: 3/5 -> it's a phone and a datebook. No more.
Ease of use: 3/5 -> it have the motorola philosophy so first week it's a very strange way of thinking
RF performance (in Mtl): 3.5/5 -> not bad but not extraordinary
Degree of customatizability: 3/5 -> bravo to the shortcuts menus but no images, no logo, no front cover, no color case
Overall rating: 3.5/5 -> it ain't bad and is probably one of the best handset available in BellM stores. More features would have been better but the rest does the job well.

Have you actually used this phone. I think that it is one of the best phones currently out on Bell. I'm going to be buying the N370 when it comes out cause I was able to get my hands on one and try it. The screen is unbelieveable and the graphics are second to none. I think that the 270c has the best features you could possibly have in a phone. I suggest you go and try the phone again...or maybe yours is defective!

I did't say that it was a bad handset; I just pointed out some minor bugs that prevent it to be 'near-to-perfect'.
I'm still having it and I just read again my review and I think that it describe well what I think about it now (I still think that it's the more features wises handset available on the Bellmobility marlket).
Maybe you could post your review on it; like this it would be a more diversive and honest opion oh the P270c?

Hi !

Pretty sure that the red plastic you've seen on top of the P270c is only a red plastic no more. Never saw a function about infrared or something like in menus.
Infrared handset tend to be on GSM network and not CDMA one's like Bell.

Hope that helps and sorry to disapoint you
