can you backup the whole phone on a memory card then restore?

Im having probs with my phone constantly locking up and have yet to find a fix for it. It also forces me to often having to restore it totally, erasing everything. So my question is, is there a way to back up everything onto a memory card (the Micro SD or whatever its called) and if i have restored my phone, to have it reset everything back to the way it was beforehand from the memory card...with programs, settings, colors, registry edits, and all that as I had before?

Take a look at Sprite's and SPB Software's backup programs. I've used both and right now am using Sprite. You can install Sprite to the sd card and can run it from there. You didn't mention what type of phone you have but Sprite works on both Professional and Standard platforms.

Sprite is awesome. I would not be able to have so much fun and experiment with different roms if it was not for sprite.

Now if they would only make one for s60 devices!

Well i got it and did a backup. when it locks up again, Ill see if it works as well as everyone says! Just hope something happens within the 10 day trial...sorta
