how do you edit a picture to fit on the tilt?

i always put a desktop background on my tilt. but when i do so, the picture zooms in on like only part of the picture, and doesnt give me an option to center it or anything. is there a way to change the resolution of a picture before i put it on my phone so it will be in like 240 by 320 or whatever? help please....

1, the Tilt does give you an option to center wallpapers. 2, you don't want to crop it to 320x240, because when you flip the keyboard out you'll see the gaps because the Tilt will flip the photo too. 320x320 should would work.
