Does the Moto Q9H have bluetooth PAN support?

I am planning to get the Q9h pretty quickly, but one thing that holds me back is that I've heard people say that the Q9H does NOT have a bluetooth PAN profile and thus, can't tether wirelessly. Any truth to that?

The AT&T Q9H does not have Bluetooth PAN.

You *could* get a MicroSD WiFi card and use WmWifiRouter, but from what I hear the cards are expensive.

The AT&T Q9h does have Bluetooth PAN, but not Bluetooth Internet Connection sharing. So you can set up PAN via Bluetooth but you can't use the phone's internet connection on the PC using the built-in internet connection sharing via Bluetooth. You can use ICS via USB or you can do Bluetooth Dial-Up networking.

Bluetooth PAN and Bluetooth DUN are two separate things.

Bluetooth PAN (which is enabled by Internet Connection Sharing on the Q9H and the Bluetooth network profile on your computer) is explicitly not supported by the Q9H.

Bluetooth DUN (which is enabled by using the Bluetooth modem profile on your computer) is supported, although I have yet to get it to work correctly on my Mac. For people with Windows, your mileage may vary.

No kidding.

You can set up a Bluetooth "Personal Network" between the phone and PC, but there is no BT PAN option in ICS. The only way to share the phone's internet connection with the PC is via USB ICS or BT DUN. That's exactly what I said in my previous post.

Bluetooth DUN on the Q9h works fine in XP or Vista. And I thought that Macs were nirvana according to all of the AAPL fanboys. Tough break.

Thanks guys. I guess I'll try the DUN or if that doesn't work, I'll just go with the trusty USB cable.
