I have a 1.1.3 OTB 16GB iPhone restored with iTunes 7.6 on a Mac to 1.1.4

I ran ziphone GUI to "Do It All", and it seemed to work, except I cannot connect to WIFI to use installer.

I restarted multiple times without success.

I also tried to restore and use ziphone multiple times, but the same problem is happening.

PLEASE HELP!

After you restore 1.1.4 do you set up a new phone or use the backup. If you use the backup that is most likely your problem, try restoring again and then setting up as a new phone.

did you dfu restore or normal restore?

Set phone up as new?

Try jailbreak/activate & unlock as separate steps?

What is the difference between a normal restore and a DFU restore?

I thought that DFU mode was just used to trigger itunes to prompt you to restore your iPhone.

I have just researched the difference between a normal restore and a DFU restore.

When I try to DFU restore, I keep getting the white cable pointing towards the itunes logo, then iTunes says there is an iPhone in restore mode.

Is this correct? Or am I not getting into DFU mode?

I think your iphone screen should be black (means no logo & cable pointing) in DFU mode... check the sticky by Drakkhen!

Ok,

So I have now tried DFU restoring by:

1. turning off iphone (disconnected from Macbook)
2. opening iTunes
3. Connecting usb cable
4. Pressing and holding HOME and SLEEP as soon as apple icon appears
5. Holding for exactly 10 seconds
6. Letting go of SLEEP while still holding home (no cable or itunes logo - black screen)
7. Itunes pops up and says iphone in restore mode
8. Use option + click to select downloaded 1.1.4 firmware
9. Restore in itunes (ALL white screen appears momentarily, then Apple logo with 'busy' swirl at bottom while restoring)
10. Close Itunes
11. Run 'Do It All' in ziPhone 2.5c for Mac (GUI)
12. Restart iPhone

Everything seems to work, but WIFI will not work.

I am stumped at this point.

When you connect to itunes after running ziphone, did you set up as new iphone or restore from backup? people are having problems from restoring!

I'm selecting New Phone with a generic name, like iPhone.

I don't understand this. I have gone as far as to do everything the same but use the 1.1.3 Firmware, and that works like a charm.

did you try reset network settings? its in Settings>general at the bottom..

Yup, reset both Network as well as All Settings and then restarted....

No Luck

Could it be the fact that I dont have an active SIM card plugged in?

I'm using a T-Mobile SIM card without a data plan (signing up tomorrow)

But that shouldnt effect the Wifi, correct?

Oh! I read somewhere that you have to put in a sim card when you run ziphone... maybe you could give it a try!

I am having a similar problem -
I restored to 1.1.4 then ziphone 2.5c "do it all"
Everything works fine and I was able to use an unlocked wifi fine for around 30 min.
Then I disconnected and tried to connect to my secure network and it said connected but then disconected after I exited the settings menu. It seems that it does not remember the WEP key. And now it wont connect to even unlocked WIFI, I also tried resetting network settings but that did not work.

I have just messed with it a bit more - when I try to connect to an unsecured wifi it says can't connect but then it does connect after that. It will stay connected while I am on the wifi settings page and then as soon as I leave settings it disconnects.

I had a similar problem when i upgraded to 1.1.3 a while back, it turned out that there was an issue with my router, so I upgraded it to the latest for the router, and that fixed my wifi problem, not remembering WEP key.

i have a 1.1.4 with no WIFI AND NO BLUETOOTH what can i do i restore and restore again and again an again and the same problem i can't downgrade to 1.1.1; 1.1.3; 1.1.2 what can i do please help me i can do anything more what do you suggest i have ziphone 2.5 but the 2.5c can any body give me a link where to download it for mac the ziphone official site does'nt work the download

how did you do for get back to 1.1.3 and it works because i got back to 1.1.3 and no wifi again it stay in black and white i even can choose and select it, it doesn't say not connected it says no wifi

If your baseband is farked you can use Ziphone to erase baseband; then dfu restore 1.1.4 to reload and start again

i already try it but my IMEI is corrupted to after restore again i DFU mode

After "Do it all" with ziphone2.5c ....
Everything is OK but no Wifi and no bluetooth at all....

Then, I tried to Erase BL 3.9 Baseband with ziphone (advanced feature), and then I installed Iplus, then started Iplus.bat .....
In both cases, evevrything is OK, SIM card OK, and the Iphone is unlock , but always with no WIFI nor Bluetooth
The information in the IPhone is:
Bluetooth : 00:00:00:00:00:00
Wifi : N/A

I don't know what to do more ?

yes i have the same problem i erase baseband restore run iplus run independence nothing works even independece don't work it say can't find scfs files or cannot extract firmaware files i have 2 iphones with the same problem one is 3.9 bootlooder and the other is 4.6 please someone help
