just got my refurb treo 680?!?!

Alright.. quick question refurbs in general!

I recevied it and I am happy from looking at it, however, I want to know one thing. It says on here do not power up until a full charge. Is that for sure or not? Cause I tried to hit the power button after my phone had been on charge for around 3 1/2 hours and it wouldnt even turn on!

So, does it normally take this long to charge up a refurb treo? Or do I have a bad experience coming up with this refurb?

Any help would be awesome... thanks in advance!

There's nothing that will keep your phone from turning on untill it is fully charged. They only say to charge it all the way the first time, because it helps to condition the battery that way. Does the LED light up notifying it's charging, sure the battery is in the right way, your pushing the correct button, etc. If after 3.5hrs. you have nothing, then it is DOA.

it was DOA. I spoke with the tech people last night, and it was surely DOA! My first refurb and it is not starting out good. They are sending me another one, so hopefully this one will be good to go!

Sorry you got a dud. Fwiw, I got a refurbed treo 680 and it works great, even a year later. I am not using at the moment, but will eventually give it to one of my daughters, who is text "challenged" and can only use a full keyboard.

My 2 sister in laws both got treo 680 refurbs and no problems My wife and I each have treo 750 refurbs no problems.
