Good morning everyone! This is my first post on this forum so be gentle! I have been doing alot of searching but so far, have not gotten an answer to my dilemma...or an answer I can understand. I'm new to this whole phone hacking thing too, so please understand, I do not know all the lingo...on to the issue:

I was coming back from out east and I had a GPS program running on my Sprint v3m Razr phone, suddenly the phone locks up, powers down and when I turn it back on I first get the "Hellomoto" screen. Then it immediealty cycles to the "BOOTLOADER USB INIT" screen. Taking out the battery does not work. Plugging from a wall jack to USB does not work.

How can I get this phone back online? I don't care if I lose all my contacts or pictures...just want to get the phone back. I tried hooking it up to the computer and accessing Motorola Phone Tools (MPT) but it says the phone is not recognized. Is there a download that I can get to return the system to normal? I read that I could use a program called RSD LIte, but I'm not sure if I will get all of the phones assets back (i.e. inernet, text messaging etc). Is there a simple solution?

Please keep in mind I am new to this whole hacking thing! Any help would be appreciated...thanks in advance!!

go here: http://direct.motorola.com/hellomot...SA&language=ENS

choose your provider "Verizon Wireless", and choose the phone "V3c"

go to the next screen and input a date that's less than one year prior to today. then download the Motorola Software Update.

install the program.

follow the onscreen instructions.

basically, the phone dropped the software or "flash" file, and is entering the flex ROM interface mode. this program will automatically download and install the current one to your phone.

if this feels sketchy or beyond your realm of understanding or risk, just take it to a Verizon store and they'll do it for you while you wait.

I was able to flash the phone with RSD Lite and install a Sprint Monster Pack. I got everything working except for the web browser...the software update that you pointed me to should do the trick as far as establishing connectivity! SWEET! I'll let you know if it works.

The only thing I am worried about is the USB communication port not being recognized in regard to your update. I installed the Motorola Phone Tools and I am still not able to establish communication with the phone so I can use the software...it still says "Moblie Device not connected". Like I said I'll let you know! Thanks again!

1) Motorola says my software is up to date...I wonder if there is a seem edit that needs to be performed to get the web browser up and running. I worked with a number of Sprint Techs to try to get it Power Vision up and running on the phone, but nothing has worked so far. Anyone have a clue?

2) I finally successfully loaded MPT!!! So at least I can mode the phone with pics, rings, etc.

3) Another question...my camera has not worked for the last 6-8 months..anyone have any ideas on that one? Bad wire? Software glitch? I don't want to send it in for repairs...is there anything I can do on my own?

I definitely wouldn't advise trying to repair something like that on your own. I just disabled my old E815 just by opening it up (tore the flex cable) and broke an iPod Video 30GB the exact same way. I would, however, advise sending it in to Sprint. They can do what you can't: send you a warranty replacement. Or, if you don't want to send it to them, send it to Motorola (if it is under their 1 year warranty). Also, don't flash a Sprint RAZR in the first place. They are brick makers!

As for your web issue, I would suggest getting an unmodded Sprint RAZR, getting it in PST, and backing up the Web Sessions file, then transferring it onto yours. Need instructions? PM me!

1) Successfully flashed phone...already was bricked...brought it back to life.
2) Opened phone...successfully...camera bad, still needs to be replaced. Waiting for a replcement. I always deeply research anything before starting things like this to ensure success! Thanks though.
