LG Rumor sound issues

I am having trouble with playing sounds, ringtones, etc. as well as using speaker phone on my LG Rumor. Ever since I called sprint service about another unrelated problem has this been an issue. From Sprint service, I was given the code ##710932# to type in to change my MSID, but when i typed in ##7109, an acoustic test menu came up. I believe that the problem lies in this menu, because my RxVol on this menu is listed as -1100, when it should not be negative or as great of a number I believe. When I try to change it, my phone freezes and requires a restart. Does anyone know how to change this? Please help, because the sprint customer service wasn't even aware that this acoustic test menu existed.

Is that the number for the service or maintainance menu for the LG Rumor phone?

Yeah, that number was supposed to be a service number for phone activation.

Will that number take you to a service menu where you can modify the settings on the phone? Or is it just for activation? I haven't received my phone yet, should be here Wed. with any luck...Thanks for the help!

I don't think a customer service rep will give you the service menu codes...

I found that: ##786# gives you something, and ##3282# something else from the standby menu...

I tried the audio test menu, and my phone freezes. Can't reset it, or anything. Only solution was to remove the battery, wait, then put it back.

No other key presses work...what a pain!

then your phone is doa call tech and ask them to go thru the options and get a ticket number and return the phone and dont forget to backup ur numbers
