i was told it can be done. im going to be going camping tomorrow and want to be able to access the internet. does anyone have a quick crash course on how to connect?

Here is a quick tutorial I copied and pasted, so the credit goes to the original posters:
BTW I am using it in my hotel room as we speak and its pretty awesome. I just get terrible lags while streaming vids.

Step0.0: Make sure your device is app unlocked!!**(see below note!); run secpolicies.cab first if unsure or the certs won't take!!
Step0.1 RESET THE DEVICE!
Step1: Install the BJ.WM6.ICS.Enable cab file (it might ask you to reboot)
Step2: navigate to \My Documents and click on the certs.cab file
Step3: RESET THE DEVICE!
Step4: go to start and run internet sharing
Step5: report back and lemme know if i fux0red anything ELSE up :P

this should work on both BJ1/WM6 and BJ2/WM6

file is temporarily hosted at:

**run this cab and reboot; http://sems.org/content/download/secpolicies.cab

Finally Got ICS to Work via Active Sync, Make Sure you have WMDC 6.1!

After trying almost everything I can think of I can upon an old post for Blackjack 1 connecting via Active Sync. I have a Blackjack 2 but the instructions are the same

If you have Vista, MAKE SURE you have download the lastest version of Windowns Mobile Device Center 6.1. This was one of my problems

Here is how to do it .... Follow Chuddy's install of ICS (See Page 2), Once installed:

1) Use Active Sync NOT MODEM. This will allow device to stay charged and you do not have to keep switching between Modem and Active Sync. This was also the ONLY way I could connect ... I will always getting "check usb cable connection" then timed out.

2) Make sure you reboot Blackjack (Not Hard Reset) and your laptop.

3) Go to Internet Sharing ... make sure
a) PC Connection is USB
b) Network Connect is Media Net
C) Connect

That is it! My Connection Speed in Denver is

sucess on my new BJ2...had to get another ICSinstall.cab to get it to work though. The ICS.WM6 file would not install...kept saying it was unsucessful.

I also used another unlock program prior...

Also, the ICSinstall.cab will add a shortcut to your start menu also =) no more running through windows folder for 10mins.

I LOVE my BJ2 even more now....omg though the Q9 is tempting me.

let me add some correction to this as i got it to work the original way.

I got the BJ.WM6.ICS.Enable cab to work by downloading it from my opera browser on my phone. I guess transferring the file changes it via sync.

Works great, nice and easy...has the icon just ICSinstall.cab. Set to USB, MediaNet and its off and running...get about 1k download...havent tested the uploaded.
