I currently work for Alltel, ans ive been ther for almost 3 years now, ive consistently stayed in the top 3% in the state of florida in sales, ive been making 60,000 a year, with saying that keep in mind ive also on a montly basis hit iver 200% of my quota in all areas. Im just not happy there anymore for many reason and I have just applied to AT & T any advise or words of wisdom from anyone? Please!

Depending on the store you get into and what commissions are in your area, $60,000 a year as a rep might be tough.

Are you a sales rep? if so what do you make yearly if you dont mind me asking?

if you're in an area that can sell wireline products such as DSL it is "possible" to hit the mid 50's...depending on your starting hourly pay you may be able to make more. i fully expect to make between 49-53k this year, just hitting on average 125% of my goals. but at&t makes it very difficult to do much more than that on a consistent basis, if a store is consistently hitting that type of goal they will raise the quota or hire more employees.

Maybe I'm in the wrong part of the business... Lol. Sales reps making that much... Makes me want to step down as a manager and not worry about other people and make 60k.

It's kind of a catch 22 concerning sales reps income, as they don't keep all of it due to chargebacks.

Starting 4.1.08, chargebacks will not be an issue.

you will get paid on the upgraded amount. If you upgrade them from 10.00 to 30 you get paid on the 20 difference.

if you simply move them to a different plan thats the same price you don't deserve a commissions there was no net gain

probably around 22K - 24K a year. But I only work 32 hours a week and I'm in a store where I only get 40 ops a month.

The no chargebacks thing makes me happy for you guys. Last year there were guys hitting 8k-10k in features every month, but it was because of flipping. I wish you guys luck in the coming year, it sounds like things may be on the upside if you can sell the hell out of the wired products.

If you want to match that, this is what I suggest:

A) Find a busy store
or
B) Find a store with a low quota and take advantage of it

Make sure you look into the store before you commit, there are some SLOWWWW stores, and there are some stores which tend to get more upgrades then activations. which is bad for your commision if money is your concern.
