I tried searching the forums, so dont bash me just yet. A buddy of mine is wanting to order this phone here:

Clicky
Will it work on ATT's network? they said they do support 1900mHz, is this true? or will it only work in some places?

Posted by: Eatonurls1

anyone know?

Posted by: Tyler Durden

The Touchflo - CECT P168 is a tri-band phone and has 900/1800/1900. It does not support 800/850 frequencies.

Posted by: dmblue

the screen looks horrible

Posted by: free_gas

ask me about the clones, as I have researched all of them.

Yes this is NOT the clone that you want, it is not good (compared to the other latest versions)

get the HiPhonei32

there are subtle yet important differences in these clones (scrub bar/the way the icon screen behaves)

and #2 this is too much to pay for it. (since 3 day shipping is not included)

and #3 you will get raped by customs charges if you purchase with these sellers .

Posted by: Eatonurls1

I figured it wouldnt work, i know att supports 1900 and 850. they dont know where they have 1900mhz and also there is a risk of it only working in some parts of the country and not all. so sucks for him, i'll tell him about the HiPhone i32, thanks guys

Why not just get an iPhone, its an extra $100, and its totally worth it

Posted by: JJones_86

Watch how slow this is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SjQmcs4i1Ig
Totally not worth it

Posted by: thatdude90210

I was just curious so I checked out the Hiphone on youtube. It's not very responsive. The guy really had to move his fingers multiple times to get a picture to zoom/unzoom. And the accelerometer isn't very responsive either. When he rotated the phone, he had to shake the phone several times just to get the screen to rotate.

They are getting the interface closer and closer, but the crappy hardware gets in the way.

Edit: Oops, someone posted the same youtube video while I writing this up. The other one had sound while this one doesn't.

Is the HiPhone i32 QUAD band? Some sellers on eBay say it is and some are listing it as tri-band...

There is nothing wrong with the accelerometer, your deduction is missing the fact that the phone was being filmed from an overview point look at the shadow and you can figure out where the light source is, thus just like the iPhone, the accelerometer is unable to detect a rotation to the ground plane.

Now as for a youtube review, here is one beside a real iphone

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M3mbLGjTfhU

As for Quadband, NO. it is 1800/1900 and 900 OR by SPECIAL ORDER of a lot 1900/850.

Now the Maximum price you should pay is $199 with shipping. I will not post where to get it as it is against forum rules. But be warned about Duty charges.

obviously this phone is slower as the CPU is running @ 78MHz not 667+ MHz on the iPhone.

(The CPU is Spreadtrum 6600M chip working at 78MHz. The flash memory is 32Mb, SRAM 8Mb, NAND 0)

Be warned that possibly a new HiPhone is coming out soon with a 3.5" screen, this is why they are selling them out at $199 with free priority shipping.

E-bay is a bad Joke, You might as well give your money away.

They don't even have the phone is stock, when you pay them all they do is order it from a China supplier and have it Drop Shipped to you (Peel of the Label when you get items and you will see that they shipped it from a supplier)

People on E-bay don't even know what they are selling, they can't even tell you CDMA from GSM. Let them try to explain the difference between

HiPHone I32 HiPHone 132 and HiPHone i32, yea its a little scam those other cheap China suppliers are running, like iPod and IPOD. Also there is a new firmware out, but htere is the issue of the speaker phone not working. And this phone does have a proprietary headphone jack.

There is a full 4 part review of this clone on youtube, I suggest you watch it before you part with your $199 beans...

I am in Canada montreal, I had a real 4GB iPhone but sold it, I will be getting an 8GB iPhone when there is a price drop. I got rid of it while the getting rid was good, I let too many people play with it, it felt dirty, I want a new one. As for me, I am not decided if I will pick up one of these bad boys (HiPHone). I like clones and stuff like this but $175 is my sweet spot...

DO NOT get the DaXian X999 or DESAY!

whew, I'm tired...

I noticed that too. You beat me to the post...

Forget the fact that I got shipped used KOBE 2's when they should have been pristine... I'll let that go, but when you buy $250 phone from E-bay it should be from a trusted seller, not jokers looking to make a quick $.

Just take a look at that long thread about someone getting shipped a cect p168 instead of a real iPhone... not even the Daxian (unlicenced windows and needs stylus)

I just don't want people to get ripped off.

If you guys want me to stop posting about clones, just tell me, but I did large amounts of research and from experience buying clone junk, I know how things are done. If you don't find this information useful then let me know.

Heck, I even found one for $160 (order as sample) and I did not get it because of lack of information about firmware at the time.

People that get ripped off on eBay are stupid. Plain and simple (no offence). The person that got ripped off with the p168 in the box failed to notice that the person had no recent feedback, didn't type their own discription, had a picture of a Windows Mobile screenshot, and paid from their bank account instead of using a major credit card... He was asking to get ripped off...

That is why E-bay is such a Bad joke, before it was ok for small things like batteries and limited edition shoes and games etc. But now the only winner is PayPal/E-bay with the listing and picture fees.

And in that case both the seller and buyer had no idea what they were doing. Just a mish mash of foolishness... Look at all those people from the US who buy iPhones for MORE than what they sell them in-store...
And I am still pissed about those Kobe 2's. oh well now I have my brand new old school PUMPS ready for spring... (that I did not buy on e-bay)

Anyway back on topic, iPhone clones... No one said they were superior the the real iPhone.

it is just more of a curiosity to buy this thing, remember, you basically have 2 weeks warranty with this thing so... yea... buy it if you are like me and like clone junk.

better value for money is the Apple iPhone.

If I do get one, in the next 2 weeks I will do a full detailed review, including hi res photo's (well whatever I can get out of my 3.2 MP (clone) Video camera.

Oh yes, cost for this phone from the manufacturer is $159, per lot/100, so at $199 that is a $40 mark-up, factor in priority international Shipping + credit card %fees, it is not that bad of a mark-up. but it would be better if it was $180, but I am not too confident in that merchant.

Posted by: free_gas

new info, the cost price is $140 each, lot of 10min order.
This is not a good sign, they want to get rid of them. So the price of $160 was correct then.

Anyway there are issues, the A88 is listed as Quad band on the Manufactures web site, but review state it as Tri-band. As I said before, not even the manufacturer has teh correct specs,, so how can those resellers on E-bay know what they are selling.

Posted by: free_gas

HiPhone is discontinued, it is being replaced by something called iorange F1. the way to tell the difference is on the back. No more HiPhone, and the start up screen is not the "planet earth" but a dragon. I am not sure if it has a standard 3.5mm headphone jack now.

Wow! They're really expensive. I got my T32 from mp4global.com. Prices are a bit better.

I love the phone, BTW.
